Sightseeing

Achenseebahn

One of the most popular excursions in the region is the Achenseebahn. One of the most famous steam trains of Austria and the world. The railway runs to Jenbach in the Inn Valley. Departure eg. in Pertisau.

Achensee Schiffahrt

A cruise on the Achensee on an old ship. Startingpoint is Pertisau am Achensee.

Achenseer Museumswelt

A village in a village. Old technology, life and practices in the Alps. The museum covers an area of 8 hectares.

Fischergut

One of the oldest buildings in Pertisau. In 1446 Duke Sigmund the coinrich had the Fischerhaus build.

Notburga Museum

According to legend Notburga was born in the 13th century andhelped the poor. The museum won the Tyrolean museum price 2006.

Heimatmuseum Sixenhof

The local history museum is housed in a building from 1361. The museum shows how the region has traditionally lived and worked.

Salzstadel

A former trading place. The Salzstadel is characterized by a mural of the City Hall and a Madonna statue. Both refer to the trade in white gold (= Salz salt) in earlier times.

Lipizzanergestüt

The biggest Lipizanerstoeterij in Austria at the Posthotel in Achenkirch.
