Bergsport
More than 500 kilometer hiking, mountain bike routes and trails, and trails for Nordic Walking. In this region you will certainly know no dull moment in mountaineering. And yet you can do even more here. Canyoning, parachuting, paragliding, indoor climbing wall at the Salewa Kletterkitz and ballooning. And there is much more.

Water Sports
Numerous opportunities for water sports are offered in the region. In the forestpool you can enjoy water in a beautiful setting. It offers a children's pool, children's slide, sunbathing area of 8000 sqm, table tennis, beach volleyball and especially clean water. Other possibilities in the region are the Gieringer Weihe, the Schwarzsee and swimming center Aquarena.

Recommendation
Schaubergwerk "Kupferplatte" is an old mine, where you can see how the metals were extracted. More than 3000 years ago, the region already was know for coppermining, as many abandoned mines with old copper melting sites prove. Various old tools are found, and demonstrate how important the copper mines were.
