Alpbach is often called the prettiest village in Austria, situated on a sunny plateau in the Alpbachtal. It is not only a perfect winter destination. The region also has much to offer in the summer as natural beauty and great culture. The region is also known for the traditional Alpbacher architecture .
Mountain Sports
In the valley you can use a large number of well-maintained and marked hiking trails, for all abilities. For mountain bikers, there are many possible routes. Which is to say that the valley in mountain biking might be undervalued. Climbing is possible in Natur Hochseilgarten in Kramsach.
Water Sports
The Alpbacher Erlebnis Hallenbad is a wonderful swimming pool where you can enjoy. It offers two 25 meters sports pools, big25 meters long water slide , island with waterfall, massage bench and childrens pool. There is also a sauna with steam bath.
Recommendation
The Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfen. The biggest outdoor museum in the Tyrol, with a hint of nostalgia. Old farmhouses have been restored in its original condition. Also recommended is the Mühle Alpbach. Every two weeks from mid June to mid-October on Saturday the flour is milled in this old mill.
