Wattens is one of the better known places in the Alps. This is because of the connection that the town has to Schwarovski. Millions of visitors from all over the world visit the wonderrooms in the Crystal Worlds, a wondrous universe of cut crystal. But Wattens is more than crystal. A pleasant town, with lots of culture and events.
Mountain Sports
In the region a large number of well-maintained and marked hiking trails in all degrees of difficulty are offered. For mountainbikers and cyclists there are many possible routes, including routes into the surrounding valleys. Opportunities for horse riding are offered throughout the region.
Water Sports
Within the region, swimming is possible in a few pools, such as the Alpenbad in the city. The pool offer a wide range of facilities including a large sunbathing area and swimming alongside various other sports. The water has a temperature of 26 degrees and the kids have an adventure pool with water slide.
