Karres lies on a quiet and sunny spot.
Karres is a real village to relax and unwind. It lies on the mountain slopes in the Upper Inn Valley, on a quiet and sunny spot.
Here you can enjoy typical Tyrolean hospitality and a wonderful view over the valley and surrounding mountains, with the typical mountain Tschirgant, which is 2,372 meters high.
Mountain Sports
The region around Karres is a great area if you want to enjoy hiking.
You can walk along any hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Other sports such as mountain bike, various opportunities for climbing, rafting or paragliding are offered in the region around the village.
Water Sports
Water sports are offered throughout the region, and with the Inn and the Ötztal Ache of a high level.
The outdoor park Area 47 offers several opportunities for rafting and swimming in the lake in the park.
However, there are more opportunities in the area, including the pool and various providers of rafting in Sautens.
At least as spectacular and certainly less expensive than the large outdoor park.
The St. Stephen Church
Worth seeing are the St. Stephen Church, the Michael chapel and the Karrer Alm, which is located high above the village.
