This little vacation oasis is a paradise for families and children. The village is an ideal base for visits to the surrounding villages, valleys and the many nearby attractions. De region is an perfect hiking- and mountainbikearea, for young and old.
Mountain Sports
High mountains, wild streams en many recreational opportunities are nearby the village. At the beginning of the Ötztal workers are working very hard to build the new Area 47, a very big sports- and recreational park. The area is well known for many outdoor sports like rafting, canyoning, mountain climbing and many hiking routes.
Water Sports
The Ötzer Ache (rafting, fishing, etc) and the Piburgersee (swimming), Tyrols warmest mountainlake, are perfect places to enjoy different kind of water sports and the surrounding mountains.
Recommendation
The Ötztaler Outdoors Parcours (a local climbing Trail / Garden) is perfect for testing your climbingabilities and your physical condition. Here you can even climb across the Ötzer Ache.
