La Chapelle d'Abondance is only 1.5 hours drive from the airport in Geneva, is a traditional farming village located directly below the peaks of the Mont de Grange and Cornette de Bise.
The lovely village forms the entrance to the world's largest ski resort Les Portes du Soleil, making it a very attractive destination for winter sports.
Here you can experience winter sports in a pure form with slopes for all levels. Close to the village is the small ski resort Crêt-Beni with slopes mainly on the wooded slopes of the Mont de Grange. This area is very popular with families with children and offers several blue and red slopes.
On the other side of the valley lies the Braitaz area where you can ski with the same skipass.
In addition to the slopes, the ski village offers 35 km cross-country trails and various opportunities for snowshoeing.
Ski Resort La Chapelle d'Abondance is only part of Les Portes du Soleil.
