The highest ski village in the Alps - Val Thorens - Les 3 Vallées.
Val Thorens, Val Tho called by fans, is the highest ski village in the Alps, and is situated at 2300 meters altitude. A height where the chance of rain in the winter months is very low, while the number of hours of sunshine is quite high.

The ski village is the culmination of the large ski resort Les 3 Vallées, which together with the ski resort Les Portes du Soleil fights for the title of "largest ski resort in the world", and has over 600 kilometers of slopes and over 170 ski lifts.

It is also one of the few ski resorts in France that opens well before christmas, and then also stays open until mid-May.

What slopes are concerned, here is something for everyone, whether you are a beginner, your kids want to ski, or you are a far advanced skier. Outside the slopes there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the fresh powder snow, while other winter sports like snowshoeing, snow tubing, skiing or snowboarding are everywhere possible.

Unique is the 6 km long toboggan run, the longest toboggan run in France.

The village itself has a lot to offer, in addition to excellent hotels and cozy apartments, a sports center, a shopping center, 40 bars and 60 restaurants, and the largest nightclub in the Alps.

Val Thorens - Les 3 Vallées is affectionately called Val Tho.
