Ski Resort Valloire - Galibier Thabor

Between the mountain passes Galibier and Télégraphe lies the ski village Valloire - Galibier Thabor.
Valloire is located between the, known from the the Tour de France, famous mountain passes Galibier and Telegraphe. It is a traditional mountain village, which was built around the 17th century Baroque church.

The ski village forms together with Valmeinier the beautiful ski resort Galibier Thabor, with 150 kilometers of slopes for all abilities. It is a snow sure ski resort, by the high altitude and the the abundant snow cannons.

On the Crea du Quart lovers find a beautiful snow park, with several snow. elements, a halfpipe and perfect carving slopes.

Unique are the opportunities for scenic flights with an Ultra Light, from the runway in the middle of the ski resort.

The region is also known as perfect freeride area, with several zones including the La Setaz. It is seen as one of the most beautiful areas for freeriders in the French Alps.

Besides opportunities for skiers and snowboarders, the ski village also offers 10 km cross-country skiing and the après ski is pretty good.

The resort has a nice shopping center with several shops, bars and restaurant.

The Ice Sculpture Festival, where artists from around the world in three days build Ice Sculptures, is internationally known, and is a great crowd puller.
