Les Contamines Montjoie is part of the large Ski Resort Evasion Mont Blanc, and is a special place among the Mont Blanc. The village is without doubt one of the finest ski villages in France.
The valley has a rich history, and excavations also show that the valley was inhabited thousands of years ago. It is a traditional French mountain village, situated next to the excellent skiing and snowboarding slopes, and has many more activities to offer.
Around the Ski Resort are several trails for cross-country skiers, and various possibilities for snowshoeing, ski jumping, ice climbing, speed riding, skating, paragliding and trips with the horse drawn sleigh and the sleigh pulled by sled dogs.
Les Contamines Montjoie is a fine destination for winter sports on perfect slopes.
