Eching am Ammersee is located on the north shore of the Ammersee, and borders the nature reserve Ampermoos. Directly on the lake the village offers a large recreation area.

Die Region ist noch nicht vom Massentourismus entdeckt worden, bietet aber großes Potenzial im Bereich des Bergsports. Keine wirklich hohe Berge, aber viele Wander- und Radwege.
Water Sports
The Ammersee is a wonderful destination for nature and water lovers. Many beaches along the lake are within easy reach. Besides watersports, there are several possibilities for walking or cycling.
Recommendation
760 meters above sea level, atop the sacred mountain, is the Benedictine monastery Andechs with its magnificent Baroque interior.
