Heiterwang is a nice and small village, where you can spend a great summer vacation amidst mountains and some beautiful mountain lakes. The Heiterwanger See is the place where many summer tourists enjoy numerous water sports. The region around the village is known particularly as a great area for mountain hiking.

For those who like the outdoors and at the same time enjoy the variety, this region is the ideal starting point for tours and routes for hiking and mountain biking. The region has more than 300 km hiking paths and mountain trails. Nordic Walking is also possible here.

Water Sports
The Heiterwanger See is not only known as an excellent opportunity for swimming. There are various forms of active and passive water sports offered. Even a cruise on the lake is possible. You can also go surfing, sailing, hiking and also every Wednesday you can have breakfast here.

Recommendation
In the petting zoo in Bichlbach the kids climb to the animals along ladders. It is a special petting zoo. Many animals live on the farm, in large pastures from monkeys along lamas to goats.
