Welcome to Pfarrwerfen
The beautiful scenery of the Salzburg Land, surrounded by the Tennengebirge, the Hagengebirge and the Hochkönig massif. Pfarrwerfen lies beautiful in this landscape, right in the Pongau, and only 40 km south of the Mozart city of Salzburg. Here you can find relaxation, culture and numerous events, rest and a perfect holiday.

Mountain Sports
A beautiful region, where you can enjoy the extensive variety of mountain sports, and not just in the open air. The region has some nice features like climbing at the climbing wall in Werfen. The entrance is next to the Klosterstiege. Other mountain sports are also possible, such as hiking and biking.

Water Sports
Fishing is possible at Fischverein Tenneck and with Bernhard Archam. Fishing licenses are available at the Tourism Association. The region offers a swimming lake (Wengsee) as an outdoor pool (Werfen), so there are ample opportunities to enjoy water.

Recommendation
The 7 Mills. The hallmark of Pfarrwerfen are the 7 mills, which are under monumental care. The mills are on the slope of the Aberg. The Liechtensteinklamm is not only one of the most beautiful but also one of the longest and deepest gorges in the Alps, and therefore recommended.
