Schwarzach is surrounded by a magnificent mountain scenery and is located directly at the Tauernradweg, one of the main bicycle routes in the region. The trainstation is known as a hub for various train connexions, and therefore known to many railway enthusiasts. The region has several beautiful lakes for swimming, as the Goldegger See which heats up in the summer to 27°. A beautiful beach with diving board, lawn and even a small island in the lake. The Böndlsee is a clear mountain lake with a beautiful lawn and a diving tower.

The Tauernbahn Museum would like to invite visitors to its exhibitions and events, history and the story of the country, and its retrieval. The museum provides information and is trying to interest people in the past and present.
