Welcome to Thalgau
Thalgau is sometimes called the healthy village and is located in a wide stretch of the valley, north-east of Salzburg. It is one of the oldest settlements in the country, surrounded by the lakes of the Salzkammergut. Vacation in this charming village is enjoying the tranquility, the scenery, the friendly people and to really relax.

Mountain Sports
A region that has much different mountain sports to offer. Beautiful and well-marked hiking trails, challenging trails for mountain biking, cycling, canyoning in the Strubklamm, rafting, and more opportunities for an active holiday in this beautiful area are offered.

Water Sports
The sports and Freizeitszentrum spoiles its guests with a large lawn, outdoor pool and a large heated natural pool with clear water from the Fuschlsee. The 5 meters deep nature pool is entirely by fish kept clean so that no chemicals have to be used.

Recommendation
Ruine Wartenfels. On the western slope of the Schober, in a truly beautiful location, lies on the rocks the ruin Wartenfels. The castle was built in 1259 by Konrad of Kahlham and can be reached through the footpath to the top of the Schoberg.
