Zell am See is known far beyond the borders.
Zell am See is situated at the foot of the Schmittenhöhe, and is seen as the jewel in the Austrian Alps.

As the Schmittenhöhe, where you can hike, mountain bike or go paragliding, and the beautiful glacier Kitzsteinhorn.
Incidentally, you can also go gliding here.
Water Sports
Lake Zell has potable water, is on average 48 meters deep, and is one of the most beautiful and pure alpine lakes.

There are also around Zell am See several outdoor pools, like Strandbad Seespitz, Strandbad Thumersbach, and the swimming pool in the village.

With a Panoramic sightseeing boat a trip about the Zeller See, where you can view the village and Schmittenhöhe.
Also worth a visit is the local history museum, located in the Vogt-oder Kastnerturm, which was first mentioned for more than 1,000 years ago.
