Zillertaler Höhenstrasse

48 Kilometers panorama street to a height of 2000 meters. A beautiful view of the Zillertal, Inn Valley and the mountains.

Zillertalbahn and steam engine

The whole year you can ride a steam locomotive from Jenbach to Mayrhofen (or vice versa). With the nostalgia-ticket you can make use of the Zillertal Bahn, the Achenseebahn and ships on the Achensee.

Mining Spieljoch

Here you can see mining as previously committed in the Zillertal. The mine is in the Öxeltal and can be reached from the mountain station of the Spieljochbahn on the Knappensteig in ± 45 minutes.

Mayrhofner Pony Club

For all children from 4 to 14 years.
Every afternoon (except Thursday) from 14:00 hours to 17:00 hours there are Horse Camps. Every Friday afternoon at 16:00 hours there is a gymkana (agility tournament) with games and prizes. Anyone can join, including beginners. Then there is an campfire & Grill evening, Hot Dogs, Marshmallows and drinks in an Indian tent.

Ahornbahn

Huge, the major Gondola of the Ahornbahn. 160 people fit in the gondola. And on the top, the view is tremendous.

Brandenberger mill

Was the wheat harvest brought in, began the miller on the Mühlbach tirelessly to grain the wheat. To more than 1200 m above sea level the land was used to grow wheat and in common mills coarsely crushed and ground.

The Schrofenmolen at the Mühlbach dates from the 18th century. The mill was in the business up to 50 years ago.

Experience Cheese Zillertal

On 6000m ² and 11 stations you can experience the first cheese factory in Tyrol and the world of milk and cheese production live, a very graphic and multimedial experience.

Brandewijnstokerij

For centuries the Zillertal produced fruit brandies. Brandy by fermentation of various commodities and subsequent distillation won.

In the holiday area Mayrhofen / Hippach there is a wide choice of brandy distilleries where you can taste and buy Brandy.

Strasser Häusl

The nostalgic Strasser Häusl in Hippach in the Zillertal looks like one of the many old farmhouses in the Zillertal, would there not be the unusual history of the Strasser children, who made the Christmas song "Silent Night, Holy Night" world famous.

Naturepark Zillertaler Alpen

Since 2008 the town Tux officially belongs to the naturepark Zillertaler Alp. A naturepark of 379 square kilometers.

Hintertuxer Gletscher

From July to September (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday) it is possible to be accompanied by an experienced glacierguide, on an exciting journey to the Hintertux glacier.

The meeting point is at the Panorama Terrace at 11:00 am and at 13:00 hours. Participation cost € 6.00 for adults and € 3.00 for children.

Erlebnisweg Tuxbach

The valley walk along the Tuxbach between Vorderlanersbach and Hintertux, is a combination of games, sports and nature.

Moorlehrpfad Penken

At 1800 meters altitude, along the hiking trail from the Penken Schrofenalm, is this interesting nature trail.
