Drosendorf is the lovely little town on the Thaya, surrounded by forests and a varied river landscape and the medieval city walls. A city that has a long and varied history, and is an excellent holiday destination if you are looking for rest and relaxation, culture and magnificent nature.

Mountain Sports
This valley invites you to enjoy the outside. To enjoy the beautiful scenery, and of active mountain sports. Many hiking trails, which are all equipped with proper markings, but also opportunities for cycling and mountain biking, a beautiful climbing garden, and extensive opportunities for horseback riding.

Water Sports
The Thayabad is a beautiful swimming pool, which reminds a bit of the old-fashioned summer freshness. A quiet pool on the Thayabeach. The Altstadtbad is a so-called wild swimming spot, and here you can enjoy the evening sun very well. The region offers numerous possibilities for fishing, for example in the Thaya, and other water sports can be found on and around the Thaya and the canoe hiking is presented in the region.

Recommendation
High on the ocks, the medieval town was built. By a double wall protected, and the Thaya runs around the city. Thus the city was extra protected against its enemies. It is the only city in Austria, which has a completely intact city wall.
