Above the charming village Göstling an der Ybbs lies the Hochkar.
Hochkar is situated high above the friendly village Göstling an der Ybbs. In winter you can enjoy on the beautiful slopes, in summer there are a large number of mountain sports offered. Many tourists come here to enjoy the view and the beautiful alpine world.

Mountain Sports
The splendor of the mountains, culminating in the beautiful mountain view, with real nature in Wildnisgebiet Dürrenstein and Erlebniswelt Mendlingtal, including the themeroad "Auf dem Holzweg", and plenty of outdoor fun during rafting and canyoning.

Water Sports
In the surrounding villages, are opportunities for water sports, and some very nice swimming pools.

Wildnisgebiet Dürrenstein (wildpark) provides the largest natural forests in Austria. Nearly 500 hectares of forest are still intact. The wild area is thus an essential component for preserving the animals and different plants in the region for extinction.
