The mountain climb village Prägraten lies at the feet of the mighty Großvenediger in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The small village offers relaxation with mountains higher than 3000 meters, and only a few kilometers of the mighty waterfall Umbal.

Mountain Sports
The region around Prägraten am Großvenediger is a perfect area for various types of mountaineering. Numerous marked and unmarked hiking trails for the whole family, and an ideal area to climb. For mountain bikers there are several possible routes and trails.

Water Sports
In the region around the village there are a number of indoor and outdoor pools where you can relax on warm summer days. Finshing in the Isel is possible with a valid fishing license, available on site. Rafting and kayaking are offered at various locations.

Recommendation
The surroundings of the village is characterized by a two challenging and beautiful natural gorges. The Iselschlucht and Strödner Klamm provide not only a romantic piece of wild nature. Both gorges are accessible, in which the Iselschlucht can be visited with a stroller and even small children.
