Rosenau offers its guests rest and relaxation, but also various possibilities to spend an active holidays. The region around the village is characterized by the many pastures and Jausenstations, where on summer days you can enjoy the beautiful mountains, after a strenuous and beautiful hike. There are alo several ways to enjoy the scenery on a horseback.

Mountain Sports
This part of Upper Austria offers aopportunities for mountain sports, as you even in the better-known regions in Austria not always will find. You can almost not think of a mountain sport, whether it is possible here. Climbing, paragliding, mountain biking, hiking, rafting and canyoning, Nordic walking, and some very nice tennis courts.

Water Sports
Fishing is possible in the Gleinkersee, Klaus reservoir, at the Singerskogel, the Lambergerteich, Schiederweiher and the beautiful river Steyr. For swimming, the region has a number of beautiful outdoor swimming pools, such as the swimming pool in Hinterstoder, and a number of indoor pools. Rafting is offered in the region.

Felsbildermuseum und Lebkuchendorf Spital am Pyrhn. The Austrian cave paintings Museum is housed in the restored Barock spaces of the former monastery in Spital am Pyhrn. Here you will find in addition, the gingerbread village of Spital am Pyhrn. An entire village made of gingerbread.
