Welcome to Salzburg
Salzburg is a city that can easily compete with other major cities like Paris and London. Not often you find a city with such a harmonious interplay between landscape and architecture, art and culture, tradition and modernity, as is provided in this city and its surrounding area.

Also a city where you can enjoy. For Example, during a walk along the Mönch-, Festung- and Kapuzinerberg, or along the Salzach. A city that has much to offer, where a vacation may last longer, and what has with the Salzburg Festival a festival of world-class within its borders.

Mountain Sports
Outside the possibilities of different (mountain)spots to enjoy within the city limits, there are a number of villages in the immediate vicinity of the city. In this vicinity there are a large number of possible of mountain sports such as paragliding, mountain hiking, mountain biking, cycling, rafting, riding, and much more. If you're in town during your holidays, it is therefore highly recommended to visit the villages in the area.

Water Sports
In the Wasserpark en Naturbad Russbach (not far from the city) the swimming pool, the canoe route for children and playing stream, are big attractions. The Wasserpark en Naturbad Russbach is built on a 0.7 acre site in downtown Russbach. The swimming pool Monte Mare in Golling offers bathing fun for the whole family. In he city itself the Paracelsus Hallenbad is recommended. A beautiful indoor pool with climbing wall, pirate ship and a special pool for small children.

Recommendation
In such a city it is almost impossible for a specific trip to be recommended. However, we recommend all visitors to the city to take a tour in a horse carriage that you actually see driving across the center. It might not be the cheapest way to see the city, but certainly one of the most beautiful. You may also see puppeteers in the center. This is definitely recommended.
