Stans offers nature and culture in a village as you will not easily find anywhere else. The sunny village lies at the feet of the Karwendel, surrounded by romantic rocks, dazzling waterfalls, emerald green water and a fantastic view over a pristine mountain scenery.

Mountain Sports
A part of Tyrol, that both winter and summer, offers a wide range of outdoor activities and opportunities for mountain sports. Many hiking routes, climbing routes, opportunities for Nordic walking and mountain biking, but also a fitness trail and cycling paths.

Water Sports
If you enjoy water sports, there are broad opportunities in this region. For example in Badesee Weißlahn, the pool Familien- und Erlebnisfreischwimmbad Schwaz, the pools in Jenbach and th loca outdoor pool, and the indoor pool at Hotel Friedheim.

Recommendation
Visit the Wolfskalmm, directly at the center, and Monastery St. Georgenberg. The monastery of St. Georgenberg can be reached, after a walk through the gorge, and was built in 950 ad. It is the oldest pilgrimage site in the country.
