Telfs is the heart of the Tyrolean Ferienregion tirolmitte, and is only 26 kilometers from Innsbruck. It is a versatile city with culture, a wide range of summer and winter sports, and the regional purchasing center of the surrounding area. The city is ideal if you want to visit other parts of the region.

Mountain Sports
The region around Telfs is in recent years emerging as mountain sports area. Numerous hiking trails, mountain biking and other mountain sports opportunities are offered. The sports center also offers climbing in the indoor Climbing Hall, and various other sports.

Water Sports
The Inn is the artery of this region. Water sports such as rafting are offered on site. Kayaking is a popular sport, and there are courses offered for this sport.

Recommendation
The Fasnacht- and Heimatmuseum offers visitors insights into the history (and contemporary) of the region, in particular about the five yearly Schleicherlaufen.
