Ski Resort Sölden

Famous mountain peaks, snow-sure and well groomed slopes and modern lifts, ensure optimal skiing in ski resort Sölden..
Ski Resort Sölden is the first Ski Resort in Austria that has three high and famous mountain peaks. In short the BIG3 (Gaislachkogl 3.058m, Tiefenbachkogl 3.249m and Schwarze Schneide 3.340m). Due to the high altitude, 2 glaciers and snow guns on all slopes below 2200 meters, this Ski Resort has always snow.

Modern elevators have a capacity of 68,000 persons per hour, so no long waiting times occur.

A varied skiing holiday
Sölden is the ideal destination if you are looking for optimal conditions, many facilities on the slopes and in the ski village, and want to enjoy a vibrant nightlife and the perfect après ski. The center of the ski village is full of activities and events, plus great ski huts, in which already from three o'clock in the afternoon slowly fill up with tourists.

The nightlife in the lovely ski village continues until the early hours of the next day, so you can sleep a little before rising back to the slopes.

More winter sports than just skiing on exceptional descents.
Of course there are many more winter sports possible around the ski area in Sölden, such as in the beautiful Almdudler Snowpark, one of the most appealing and undoubtedly one of the best snow parks in the Alps. The snowpark is extremely complete, it's really more than just a halfpipe, and moreover every year more extensive.

The Almdudler Snowpark is located at the two chairlifts Hainbachkar and Silberbrünnl, on the Giggijoch, and was designed by Christoph Schöpf. The Snow Park is open daily, offers several challenging snow elements and also features a chill area, where you can chill out and celebrate parties.

Ötztal Arena - a winter fairytale in a long valley.
Ski resort Sölden actually lies in the Ötztal Arena, and is a world-class winter sports paradise. Two glaciers, several ski areas for all levels suitable and known as a family friendly, and the charming villages Sölden, Ötz, Vent, Langenfeld, Niederthai and Umhausen. Actually, even Sautens belongs to this area, although this quaint village lies at the very beginning of the Ötztal.

The area is quite large, from Sautens or Ötz the journey takes about 30 to 45 minutes, but the prices are significantly lower outside Sölden. Moreover, the other ski resorts in the Ötztal Arena probably are just as easy to reach, and the accommodation and the ticket prices are somewhat lower.

So, a real winter paradise, where in winter you can literally smell the snow, and where almost everywhere various winter sports are offered.

Innovations

New Restaurant on the Tiefenbach Glacier and the new Lift to the Gaislachkogl.

The Tiefenbachrestaurant is completely restyled, and larger. With 1500 seats, this modern restaurant is absolutely terrific.

The Gaislachkogl cable car takes you to the top of the Gaislachkogl and, according to insiders is one of the most spectacular architectural highlights of the whole of Austria.

Sölden is the best destination for every winter sports.
