In the middle of the Zillertal, at the old Zillertaler Straße, lies the quiet holiday village of Aschau. A centrally located holiday paradise that has enormous potential. Thus, Mayrhofen is just 13 kilometers away, and skiing is possible even in summer on the Hintertux Glacier, just 30 km away.
Mountain Sports
In the region a wide range of mountain sports are offered. Not only is it an ideal hiking and mountain biking area, also typical mountain sports like paragliding, canyoning and rafting are offered in the area.
Water Sports
Erlebnisteich Aufenfeld is ideally situated on the sunny side of the valley. The swimming pool offers a water surface of 5,000 sqm, sunbathing area 10,000 sqm, water temperatures to 21 degrees, natural waterfall, water bike, opportunities for fishing, two beach volleyball courts, skate funcourt, streetball and basketball, trampoline and two playgrounds.

Mining Spieljoch. Here you can see mining as previously committed in the Zillertal. The mine is in the Öxeltal and can be reached from the mountain station of the Spieljochbahn on the Knappensteig in ± 45 minutes.
