Gnesau is located in the heart of Carinthia and is surrounded by the beautiful Nock mountains. The village is very central and ideal for a summer holiday, if you want to explore Carinthia and the region.

Mountain Sports
A region where you can practice many mountain sports, mostly in the surrounding area. Because of the central location, the possibilities are virtually limitless. Of course you can also mountain bike and hike on various routes.

Water Sports
In the heated outdoor pool you can enjoy hot and less warm days. The entrance fee is only a fraction of what we are used to. The larger lakes in the region are easily accessible and offer more water sports. A special watersport is offered in Erlbenisoase "Oberes Gurktal". Here you can ride a water sleigh, the new sport for small and large water fans.

Recommendation
You can visit the monastery in Zedlitzdorf for free. The monastery dates from 1753 - 1755, after the previous church was destroyed by fire. Count Lodron (Castle Biberstein in Himmelberg) built the monastery, after Empress Maria Theresa gave her consent.
