Mountain Sports
An excellent region for various types of mountaineering. Hikingroutes in abundance along the Ossiacher See and in the hiking paradise at the Gerlitzen, various opportunities for mountain biking and cycling, and the Gerlitzen is known for its excellent thermals when it comes to Paragliding and Dragon Flying.

Water Sports
The villages lie directly at the Ossiacher See and offer enormous possibilities for water sports. Sailing, surfing, fishing and swimming are a favorite summer activity, but also a passive water sports like a cruise on the lake, is possible. Not only fun for the kids, the inflatable iceberg in Ossiach. Three sides are used to climb the iceberg, the fourth side is a nice slide into the lake. On rainy days, the indoor swimming pool is recommended.

Recommendation
The Mountain and Almmuseum Pöllingerhütte is accessible from the top station of the Gerlitzen-Panorama-Bahn, and through the alm-forest learning path. Here you can see the hard life of mountain farmers from the beginning of the last century, including cheese making.
