Mountain Sports
A paradise for mountaineers. Obergurgl is located high in the mountains, and is thus an ideal starting point for many mountain sports, including hiking, climbing and mountain biking. Paragliding is also offered in Obergurgl.
Water Sports
Water sports are offered in the Ötztal, but in Obergurgl there are not many options. However, there are several mountain lakes where you can relax very pleasant in the summer. The frozen water sport is also possible in the summer by the presence of the glacier, to which a visit is certainly worthwhile.
Recommendation
The Timmelsjoch-Hochalpenstraße is also known as the secret gateway to the south. The Alpinepass is not only a good starting point for hiking and mountain biking, but also a challenge for cyclists. A ride by car, gives a wonderful view.
