Vacation in Umhausen

Welcome to Umhausen - Niederthai
In the beginning of the region lies Tumpen. From this village is the slightly up towards Umhausen. The villages Niederthai and Köfels are situated surrounded by mountains on a sunny plateau at 1500 meters altitude.

Mountain Sports
The region is not only known for its many attractions, but also because of the many opportunities for mountaineering. Several long walks, but also short routes like the route to the Stuiben waterfall, make this the ultimate hiking area. Other mountain sports such as mountain biking, rafting and paragliding are offered in the region.

Water Sports
The Ötzer Ache is a perfect wild river for active sports like rafting. Not really a watersport phenomenon, but wonderful for cooling down is the Stuiben waterfall where the water drops down 150 meters. Ice climbing is possible when the waterfall is frozen.

Recommendation
Besides the Stuiben waterfall, Umhausen has one of the main attractions in the Ötztal. The Ötzi village. A 9000 square meters archaeological park, where the living conditions of the iceman found in Sölden are imitated with live actors.
